Trump invokes KKK slogan ‘love it or leave it’ at North Carolina rally

Trump is now straight up quoting the KKK.
Klan version: “This is KLAN COUNTRY love it or leave it. Help fight communism and integration.”

Trump version attacking people of color: “They’re always telling us how to run it, how to do this, how to do that. You know what? If they don’t love it, tell ’em to leave it.”

At a rally in North Carolina, US President Donald Trump doubled down on his attacks against four Democratic congresswomen and appeared to invoke a slogan used by white nationalists telling them to ‘love it or leave it’.

  1. “Love it or leave it” may have originated with the Klan, but in the Sixties it became a common slogan of anyone who opposed anti-war efforts, so it doesn’t necessarily have a racist tinge. But it’s good to know where it first came from.

  2. If one of your car tires fails, you don’t just abandon your vehicle. You fix the problem. 2020 – fix the problem and get back on the road to progress.
