Trump official suggests famous Statue of Liberty sonnet is too nice to immigrants

The Statue of Liberty famously reads, “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

Trump’s acting Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Ken Cuccinelli says it should be changed to, “Give me your tired and your poor who can stand on their own two feet and who will not become a public charge.”
